Task 018 Deb Tong's Illustrated Poster
This is my illustrated poster. It is a quote from Helen Keller about when a door closes in your life that most people are so upset about it they cannot see that another may be opening for them.
The pictures I chose to go with it are a lady at a closed door and an open door behind her. My background picture is one I took of a draw bridge either opening or closing (can't remember which).
Hope you like it.

Pros and Cons of Communicating with Electronic means versus face-to-face
For one of our lessons in our graduate class, we had to use only electronic communication to work with our partner. I am now suppose to talk about the pros and cons of doing this. I can honestly say that I did not find any cons. Yes, I did not get "immediate replies" like I would have if we were talking on the phone or meeting face-to-face. I did not find this much of a problem. My partner replied very quickly to emails I sent to her. I thought this worked better because I did not have to wait until she had time to answer my calls. If I thought of something I needed to ask her I could email her at anytime that was convenient to me. I didn't have to wait and risk forgetting what I wanted to ask. So in conclusion, I would say this method worked very well for us.

Survey Monkey
Ways I could use Survey Monkey in my class would be to have a survey on how parents would like to participate to support their children during the year. Would they like to send in extra supplies, help out at parties, go on field trips, help in the classroom, or cut out and draw things to help me. Also, do they have any suggestions on ways they think they could help out our classroom during the year.
